My 8 month old maltese is scared of ear cleaning! (inside) HELP!!!?

Clipping her ear WILL affect cleaning it. Give someone a handful of treats and DO NOT show them to the dog. Slowly one by one feed them to her while cleaning her ear. If she does jerk away give her another treat. My dog thinks it feels good when he gets his ear cleaned out but what he doesn't like is getting his nails clipped. It is because my mom once cut his skin trying to clip them. Mage her ear before and after to make her feel better.
