Giving a 3 month old chicken broth?

My son is seriously congested the doctor says we have to wait it out .. he doesnt have the flu or RSV so other than using a humidifier and vix there is not much else that can be done.. My daughter is 2 and the chicken broth really helped (she just got over same thing) i know she is older but would it be ok to try a little with the baby?
