What's happening with us?

I'm a senior in HS who the other day met a sopre at my school. We hit it off really well and he asked for my phone number. We texted the rest of the day questions to each other like "whats your favorite color?" and "favorite place?" Everything was perfect. The next day, nothing from him at all. Today, I texted him "good luck" for tonight's football game. He said he'd be playing at both games and I said great, I'll support you at both. He then never texted back. That was in homeroom (where you do nothing but talk to your friends for 45 minutes). Is he nervous because I'm older, he's about to be 17 and I'm about to be 18. Or what?
