For people who are against affirmative action what would you propose we do instead to combat ism and racism?

Our party ended slavery while your party enforces things like affirmative action and quota's exacerbating the problem and you you have the gull to say we don't care about civil rights ? How is legislating racism which is exactly what affirmative action and quota's are, going to help the problem ? God bless.
